Refugee Corps is a nonprofit, non-governmental development organization that is committed to the service of refugees and internally displaced persons which provides educational awareness, community engagement and participation, social justice, human rights protection, development integration assistance, and legal assistance to refugees and other forced migrants in the United States and abroad. We believe that refugees and other forced migrants are resilient and by providing them with the appropriate resources we can help them transition and locally integrate in their new communities.
Refugee Corps works with refugees and other forced migrants by linking and connecting them to resources and opportunities in their host communities to facilitate the process of local integration, repatriation, and resettlement.
At Refugee Corps, we emphasize “service without borders” as our strategic vision for refugees and other forced migrants in a world without borders. As an organization, we capitalize on the successes and challenges of former refugees and other forced migrants by sharing their stories and experiential journeys to create opportunities and resources for other forced migrants population in the United States and abroad.
Through this cultural and educational enlightenment, refugees are encouraged to create networks with key actors and stakeholders to make their own journeys and stories the staging points for others.
